I love reading the blog "Cute & Nast" (hiii stephieeee!) and so when they offered free stickers, I signed up quick! I think these stickers are adorable and look great on the scooter. :D :D :D :D I came out of bed this morning to have my scooter run for a little bit and to put this nifty embellishment on!
I wish there were better weather conditions but what can you do? December is a dreary month.
So I went to my first scooter meetup. In the winter months they meet up every third Sunday at 3 PM, then they will organize a ride around town an hour later. It was fun to meet other people that ride and learning that-- WOW! scootering is a hobby! I went for the ride and to see the other cute--I mean, badass scoots! I wish I could tell you the routing but the only roads I were familiar with was Wilmington Road and Lake Wheeler! But I got to see some cows and got to learn how to ride in a group! How cool! Anyway, it was fun and I'm thankful to have met all the nice people on Sunday! I plan to attend more because that was a fun ride and open to all scooter riders!
From Genuine Scooters. They sent some adorable goodies with my roadside assistance card. A shirt, blue and red keychain, sticker, memo pad and a thank you card. Adorable! Thanks, Genuine!
I bought some metal repair duct tape and made some design for my helmet. I saw a neat helmet design and mimicked that shape. Decided it need something more. And well hearts are easy to do! The metal tape reflects and sticks really well. And my taping job would look more jacked up if I didn't tape hula hoops. Ha ha ha. But metal tape is UNFORGIVING. So I apologize for not having a paint roller to apply it.
Photos of a scooter and a girl that took her first ride around the neighborhood. I rode around my complex and got the hang of gas and braking. Then decided I was never going to learn anything if I didn't go above 10 mph.
So I took it out and went to the closest neighborhood and rode it there, got back on main road and then went to a friend's house. Riding a scooter is terrifying and thrilling at the same time. Definitely gonna ride a few more days before going anywhere far(from home). Which bums me out a little(ish) but I need to comfortable.
