What were your New Year's resolutions for 2006? How did you do?
I had no real resolutions. I never participate in this. For some reason I feel like this sets me up for failure. If my changes aren't something that I really deeply want done, then I will never do it.
Let's see the major thing of 2006 for me was I got real about the fact I'm hypoglycemic and decided to take control through eating and exercise. Mainly exercise and activity really keep it under control. I have been exercising consistantly since May 2006. I'm extremely proud of myself and I think when it comes to May 2007 I'll change my DVD to the new one. With this somewhat major change in my life, I realized that if you aren't 100% willing and committed to exercise(or anything really), you will fail. It's like I had to understand that I needed to change my way of life without becoming obsessive over it. I only workout 3 times a week so I don't get all crazy about it. I have very obsessive behaviors when it comes to things to do with myself.
Yeah I'm being really honest and open about this and it's weird. haha I think I just would want to stress that is was a change of lifestyle for me and mindset. I had to fight through lazy moments and actually I need to go and do my pilates now! I also have to fight through my obsessive side, the side that tells me "if miss this day, you're gonna get fat! You're gonna lose the muscle toneness you worked hard for! if you workout for another 2 days, you can be super toned!" So I have to go...SHUTUP! and then resume life as normal.
I had a good, cozy holiday. I've been to myself lately, so I've been neglecting to talk about my holiday. So here I go with the cold hard booty first. In this first picture below, what you can see is I have a dark brown purse with faux fur lining the opening of the bag from Bath and Body Works with "Japanese Cherry Blossom" lotion and shower gel.
This stuff smells so great, I used the shower gel last night and WOW I love it. It reminds me of a toned down verison of Chanel No. 5 (I don't like it normally. It's...terribly nausating to me.).It had a body spray but when I put some on my wrist (one spray) my skin started turning red, but didn't hurt.It was a very musky strong smell and it actually was a lot like the purfume I got as a teenager from a crush of mine, and I wore it my skin would turn red and just got a headache. Yeah. The same stuff happened.
But my boyfriends sister in law, benefited from it! LOL There is also a small teapot with even smaller cups.
It's a nice decor piece. I included my birthday gift in there since my birthday is on the 20th *shrug* I love the book. The hair ties are sitting on top of it (that was a stocking stuffer). Also something that's hard to see, under the purse is a baby pink hoodie with faux faux faux fur lining the hood(I'm stressing how it really doesn't look like fur).
You get a better view of the book "Burlesque and the art of the TEESE" by Dita von Teese. (If you flip it over it's the FETISH and the art of the the TEESE). But I think this front book goes with my PINK theme going on.
I got the pink DS lite I was mind humping for the past 3 months. I got two gamse Brain Age and Burnout Legends [this is fun]. Oddly, I play Brain Age ALLLLLLLLLL the time. It's super addicting. I think it helps I love Sudoku; I can play this game for hours. I love that I don't have 10 million books that I'll go through, get banged up and crappy. Because it happens to all my magazines! grr! I recall telling Tom that if ever wanted to marry me, that I wouldn't need a diamond ring, GET ME ELECTRONICS! lol It costs the same, right? and I don't wear jewelery.
Ryan and Wanda got me a sushi set. It's pretty cool to see the sushi plates and the soy sauce/rice (or whatever tickles your pickle) bowls. The chopsticks are really nice looking and I assume the black thing is holders for it. It's really cool, I'm glad I have it.
Hmm I'm watching a tv show about the "True Hollywood Stories: Curse of the Lottery." Yeah. It's messed up what money can do to people.
This is my night so far. Its fun with my friends. It was quiet and I forget that I look kind of young. LOL They I.D.ed me!
Umm Also I didn't finish the margarita, Tom drank some of it with me. So We finished half because I don't drink alcohol at all. And I wanted to try a margarita, it tasted like a sweet kamakazi. I didn't like the salt at all. It made it bitter then. BLECK. I'm a wussy though. It was fun but I wasn't feeling great so it was kind of quiet. haha
I got a cold!!! >_< I've had it since Wednesday. I've been taking Zicam, vitamins, echincea tea, and dayquil/nyquil to get to sleep. It's so strange since I've had this cold, I have no real appetite/hunger. Lame. It's confusing since I don't really get hungry, I just start to feel weaker.
Tom has been teasing me for the past few days because he has started his christmas/birthday shopping for me and I have not started at all for him. He kept doing it and I would throw a fit about it! haha I hate when someone goes "I got something for you, but I won't tell you what it is!" So I'm in the middle of a cold, I feel too out of it to shop...or MOVE.
My boyfriend is a little difficult to shop for since he has specific wants that I have to be like "okay. Where is it at?" LOL
Anyway, he was so sweet yesterday, since I've been sick he emptied the dishwasher and washed the dishes and then gave me my birthday present early since I was feeling crappy!!
It's Dita Von Teese's book!!! He is so thoughtful. I really liked her for a several years now and he got me this book, and I'm so happy. I actually forgot about this book and but he didn't apparently. :P It's pretty neat, it's one of those two in one books. One the first side it's cheesecake, teal and pink, and then you flip it over, it's saucy red and blacks. I like it a lot. Very cool. So while I am sickly I can look at this book! I really am a big fan of pinups and I respect Dita's love for the times of when a woman dressed up ALL the time. (But that is NOT me.) Umm yes. I'm very excited. Tom always knows what I like and is so thoughtful in gift giving. I love him. :)
- Life is like playing a violin in public and learning the instrument as one goes on.

Marriage is a great institution, but I'm not ready for an institution yet.
