Things I love Tuesday!

Sex with Mom and Dad! My new favorite tv show on MTV! It's where the parent and child talk to Dr. Drew and teaches them to communicate better and educate their child about sex. They do awkward assignments and you get to see the discomfort from both parties. The first episode I watched, it changed the girl's attitude about sex. And she felt empowered by the knowledge. I think it's a really neat tv series.
The Fair! I've gone every year since I moved here. I also got to use my digital SLR for the first time at the fair! So I was so happy with that. I also went on a ride for the first time in years. Like, near 7 years. OMG FAIR FOOD! I had a corn dog and a caramel apple!
Sock Monkey Hat! It was a total impulse buy, but I love this hat, it's so warm and it's my new favorite hat! :) I saw it in the window of a kid's store and I ran in and bought it. Of course, after trying it on. I wear this hat when I'm just sitting around the house. LOVES IT!
Sunglass Hut! Holy crap. Let me tell you of this tale. I thought I lost my reciept, I ended up finding it recently. But my Ray Ban's had a defect that causes the left arm to wiggle violently, and got worse as time went on. I had them tightened before and it was in the same condition the next day. (WITHOUT WEARING THEM!) It was the rivet that was messed up so there was nothing I could do. I went into the store, brought the reciept and he looks at them and informs me that the lense in my glasses were gradient and it's apparently hard to come by in Ray Bans. So he didn't feel comfortable just trading it in for another pair and giving up said lense. (Not to mention it is the most flattering). So he got me to get the only pair of the same frame from upstairs and changed out the arms and tightened it for me. And the cost? a dollar NOTHING! I was completely thrilled and it feels like a brand new pair of glasses. So I have nothing but good things to say about this store! Is this the luxury treatment of investing in expensive sunglasses? Hmm.. Well the warranty is only good for a year.
My Day, Yesterday! This is a really cool video group on flickr. These are the rules of the project: Shoot video throughout a day in your life, then put it together and upload it the next day. Don't add any music or sound effects, just use what the camera recorded. It's really cool and the video above is the one I posted. I enjoy looking through this group. It makes me happy inside.
Conversations! I've been really chatty lately and it seems to attract people. Socializing is a very weak point for me and I think bartending is working it out of my system. It's giving me an idea of what I can say casually to people. Sometimes I get awkward, but I've been fairly good at it lately and people are really responding positively. That makes me feel good. Ironically, I started working at my job so I didn't have to talk to people. Now I crave those moments I don't have now. I just talk to people trying to get in those 20,000 words a day I need to say. It's just really funny to me how I've changed or how much I took conversations forgranted.
Notes on the Fridge! Tom's parents wrote us a note before leaving letting us know they had a good time when here. I left it on the fridge and I like seeing it. I think I'll put this into practice when I get to stay with someone. Because it feels nice and good, and well I think that should be shared. Pass the happiness!
The little things:
